When this lane applies
Project teams who need a hydrant coverage plan, hydrant pipework, or a defined wet fire hydraulic package for the building. Hose reels and sprinkler pipework can sit in the same engagement when they are in the brief.
This is hydraulic design of wet fire services. It is not a substitute for a fire engineer, and it is not a performance solution written in someone else's name.
Outcome
- Hydrant coverage planned against the applicable Australian standards and NCC provisions for the building
- Hydrant mains, boosters and plant space coordinated with water supply, structure and architecture
- Documentation contractors can install from
- Clear exclusions where fire engineering sits with others
Efficiency Unleashed, on this work, means coverage that belongs with the rest of the hydraulic set, not a diagram dropped in after coordination is closed.
How we work
- Confirm hydrants are in scope, and whether hose reels or sprinklers sit with them.
- Review the architectural set and the fire strategy documents you have.
- Issue a fee proposal with scope, exclusions and timing.
- Design coverage and pipework, then document for construction.

Objections
We already have a fire engineer. Good. We design the wet pipework and hydrant coverage inside that framework. The fee proposal will name where their documents stop and ours start.
We only need a coverage plan, not a full wet fire set. That can be scoped. Sprinklers and hose reels are included only when they are in the brief.
Is this the cheapest hydrant drawing we can buy? No. OTG is a premium consultancy. If the job only needs a diagram with no coordination, we are not the right office.
