How OTG Hydraulic Design handles personal information collected through this website.
Last updated 22 October 2026.
OTG Pty Ltd trading as OTG HYDRAULIC DESIGN (ABN 39 656 941 132) operates this website at www.otghydraulicdesign.au. Our office is at 5/20 Buckingham Drive, Wangara WA 6065, Australia.
This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website. The Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) are set out in Schedule 1 of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). They describe how organisations should collect, use, store and disclose personal information, and how a person can seek access or correction. Many businesses with annual turnover of $3 million or less are exempt from the APPs, with some exceptions. Whether or not that exemption applies to a particular matter, the practices below are how we handle personal information on this website.
What we collect
If you use the contact form, we collect the details you enter: name, organisation, email, phone, project location, the services you need, and your project notes. We also receive the enquiry type and the page the form was opened from, so we know what you were asking about. A hidden field is used to catch automated spam. Do not fill it in.
If you send invoicing details, we collect the legal entity name, billing address, city, postcode, accounts contact name, phone and email, whether a purchase order is required, any purchase order number, the project name or address, a delivery date if you provide one, and any extra note you add.
If you email or call us, we keep what you send us so we can respond. This website does not ask for payment card numbers.
How we use it
We use this information to reply to enquiries, prepare fee proposals, carry out work we are engaged to do, and administer invoices. We also use website measurements to understand which pages are used and whether advertising leads to an enquiry.
We do not sell personal information. Submitting a form does not add you to a mailing list.
Google Analytics and Google Ads
This website uses Google Analytics and Google Ads. When Google Analytics is enabled, Google collects usage information such as the pages visited, a general location, and the device and browser. Google may store cookies in your browser to do that.
Google Ads is used to measure whether an advertisement leads to a visit or an enquiry. After you submit the contact form, a confirmation page can record that an enquiry was sent. That record includes the type of enquiry and the page it came from. It does not include a price or a payment.
You can control or block cookies in your browser. If you block them, the site still works, and some measurement may not run. Google's privacy information is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Who else receives it
If a form delivery service is connected, a contact enquiry is sent to that service. If it is not, the form opens a message in your email program addressed to us, and you send it from there. Invoicing details are sent to our accounts email. We use suppliers to host the website and to provide analytics and advertising measurement, including the website host and Google.
We may disclose personal information if you ask us to, if we need to in order to answer an instruction you have given us, or if the law requires it.
Overseas disclosure
Email, website hosting and Google can process personal information outside Australia. We do not control the countries those providers use. Where the Australian Privacy Principles apply, APP 8 deals with disclosure outside Australia, and we take reasonable steps in how we configure these services.
Storage and security
We keep personal information for as long as we need it to respond, do the work, administer invoices, and meet legal record-keeping duties. We then delete or de-identify it when we no longer need it.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access or disclosure. Email and web forms are not a fully secure way to send sensitive documents. Call us if a document should not travel by email.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing russell@otghydraulicdesign.com.au. Where the Australian Privacy Principles apply, an access request is generally dealt with within 30 days.
If you have a complaint about how we handled personal information, email the same address and we will look into it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
